Unfortunately our sit and sew meeting on Tuesday 12 April has had to be cancelled as it clashes with a special Holy Week church service. The church had offered us an alternative but after discussion the committee felt that neither option was suitable for our members. We have therefore decided to cancel the meeting. We hope that this does not cause you too many problems. We do, of course, look forward to seeing you all at the following meeting on Tuesday 26th April at 2.00 pm when we will have a talk by Mags Smith on the “Fabric of the Foundling Hospital”. Mags has a quilt shop called The Patchwork Basket in Newent, Notts, and will be bringing items for a sales table.

Forest Quilters are very happy to announce that meetings will be restarting in September 2021. We have decided that meetings will be on the second Tuesday of each month at 7.30 pm and on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 2.00 pm.

In 2019 we had a joint exhibitions with The Husum Storm Quilters with work being exhibited at the Rathaus Husum (Townhall). Here is a video tour of the exhibition.

Joint Quilt Exhibition at the Town Hall, Husum, Germany

As part of our successful Town Twinning initiative, Forest Quilters of Kidderminster and Storm Quilters of Husum are having a Joint Quilt Exhibition. Nine members of Forest Quilters (plus one husband) will be traveling to Husum and will stay with local families for about a week. Members have contributed 30 quilts to the exhibition which are of differing sizes and styles and showcase the range of artistry and talent of our members.

The embroidered lampshade workshop which was originally scheduled for September has been rescheduled for Saturday 26th October.
